Danza nel Metrò is the contemporary dance festival that brings the art of the body and gesture to places of daily transit. Following the success of its first edition, a project that combines universal languages, architecture, and community returns, enlivening often-forgotten spaces with unexpected artistic incursions.
Launched in 2024 with the support of Rome Capitale, the festival is curated by the Tabula Rasa Per Cultural Association, under the artistic direction of Roberta Frenquelli. Now in its second edition, Danza nel Metro confirms its status as a free, inclusive, and urban event, showcasing the voices of established and emerging companies, inviting residents and subway riders to pause, observe, and be moved. Dance moves break the daily frenzy of the subway and invite passengers to raise their gaze, rediscovering beauty even in the city's most anonymous places.
