SYNOPSIS
Reflections was born from the desire to create a spontaneous bridge between music and dance in a completely free vision, without patterns or codes.
The musician and composer Manuel Zito was involved in the creation of the work; indeed, choreographer De Alteriis strongly believes in his vision of dance and his musical proposal. It is a completely improvised work that sees the performers completely at the service of the musical interpretation and therefore of the music's reflection in the body, which can create both autonomous and choral situations. The spectator thus spreads their focus across multiple points on the stage, because authentic relationships can be spontaneously created and woven.
BIOGRAPHY
Founded in 2022 by international dancer and choreographer Marco De Alteriis, the Neapolitan Contemporary Dance Company (NCDC) began as an independent project dedicated to research, experimentation and the development of an original choreographic language rooted in contemporary culture. De Alteriis, an artist with a rich international background, has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Tulsa Ballet (USA), Accademia Nazionale di Danza (Rome), Monaco Dance Forum (Monte Carlo), Dantzaz Kompainia (Spain), Ballet Teatres de la Generalitat (Valencia), GMBallet (Florence and Luxembourg), Balletto Teatro di Torino, Kamea Dance Company (Israel), Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Regio in Turin, as well as numerous festivals and arts centres in Italy, Spain, Germany and Israel.
Since its debut, NCDC has presented several original productions, including:

Since 2022, the company has been a guest at numerous national and international festivals and events, including: Korperformer (Naples), Danza nel Metrò (Rome), Corpo Mobile (Rome), Inpuls a la Dansa (Valencia), Courmayeur in Danza. It has also established artistic collaborations with musicians and composers such as Manuel Zito, Fabrizio Mandara and Romain Nosbaum.
Marco De Alteriis' choreographic works are inspired by ancient myths, human history and the philosophies of the ages, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The company's stylistic identity is distinguished by its sensitive use of light and stage space, and by a sharp and refined choreographic vocabulary, the result of continuous research into the biomechanics of movement and the force of gravity. The work of the NCDC thus stands out as a new and recognisable voice in the Italian and international contemporary dance scene.
