CONTEMPORARY DANCE FESTIVAL IN THE ROME METRO
ESPRESSO
Ocram Dance Movement
SYNOPSIS
The famous "espresso" is the most imitated drink abroad; half a cup encapsulates the culture of an entire Italy. Through an exchange of Italian language lessons, Espresso aims to symbolically and ironically recount the typical and dominant vision of Italian through the eyes of a foreigner. Love is told through the encounter of ... and .... It's a love echoed by courtship, made up of glances and gestures. Gestures are just as passionate and passionate as language. The stereotype of the Italian raising his voice and waving his arms in the air is so intrinsic (...and well-founded) that it led Bruno Munari to create a dictionary of Italian gestures. The emphasis of our language also resonates in worship and prayer, which transform into occasions of celebration and popular rites steeped in tradition.
It's true that all this might seem like an exemplification of our culture, but it's actually what makes us Italian. We are a blend of love, celebration, noise, and warmth. So we invite you to let yourself be enveloped...
